What fees do I pay when using Custom Online Deposits with PhorestPay?

This feature is available to businesses using PhorestPay through Stripe.

You can now charge clients a deposit when they book online, helping to cut down on no-shows and boost your cash flow. Set smarter deposits by charging extra for new clients or clients with a history of no-shows.

Republic of Ireland
  • Online bookings where the deposit total is up to and incl. €50 will include the minimum standard booking fee of €0.80 + VAT
  • Online bookings where the deposit total is over €50 will include a booking fee of 1.2% of the deposit total + €0.20 + VAT
  • Services booked where the service price is €0 will not incur any deposit or booking fee for that service.

For example, if you have your custom deposit set to €20 and a client books an appointment with two services, their deposit total will be €40. This total is under €50, so the minimum standard booking fee will apply, totalling €0.98 (€0.80 + VAT@23%).

  • Online bookings where the deposit total is over £50 will include a booking fee of 1.2% of the deposit total + £0.20 + VAT
  • Services booked where the service price is £0 will not incur any deposit or booking fee for that service.

What happens if I disable Custom Online Deposits?

If you choose to turn off Custom Online Deposits at any point, the online booking deposit charged will be set at the minimum standard booking fee, which can be viewed in the regional transactional fee breakdown above.

When do I get my money?

Payouts are processed daily, and you will receive money for each transaction processed 1 business day later. You will receive a monthly invoice including a summary of your total fees + tax (if applicable in your region) for the previous month. You can access these invoices in your Phorest system by going to Manager > PhorestPay > View Invoices.

You can also go to Manager > PhorestPay and click the Download CSV button beside a payout to get a transactional breakdown of the payouts and the fees involved. Check out this guide for more information.

Note: Bookings will not appear in the payout information under Manager > PhorestPay > Download CSV, where only the standard booking fee was charged. Click your region in the dropdown boxes above to see your standard booking fee.
