  First Steps!

Before using Cardless Checkout, you'll need to make sure you have set up your PhorestPay account. If you haven't already, check out this guide to find out how.

You will also need the latest version of Phorest, which you can download here.

What is Cardless Checkout?

Now you can offer your clients a seamless checkout experience. Once a client makes a booking online their credit or debit card will be stored securely, allowing you to process a Cardless Checkout payment on the day of their appointment. Your clients want an Uber-like experience when checking out, and Cardless Checkout makes this a reality.

Is it Secure?

Phorest Payments are Powered by Stripe, who have the very highest security and Level 1 PCI Compliance. Your staff, nor Phorest, have access to the raw card details at any stage.

How much does it cost?

UK & Ireland
  • 1.19% of the remaining booking amount + VAT if the client booked the appointment online and already paid an online booking deposit
    or
  • 1.19% of the total booking value + £/€0.29 + VAT if the client did not book online but has a card stored from a previous online booking.
Australia
  • 1.75% of the remaining booking amount + GST if the client booked the appointment online and already paid an online booking deposit
    or
  • 1.75% of the total booking value + $0.30 + GST if the client did not book online but has a card stored from a previous online booking.

Where Can I use it?

Cardless Checkout is available on Phorest desktop and the Phorest Go app. If a client has a stored card on file, you will see an option to checkout using that stored card.

Phorest Go (Mobile)

On the Pay screen, if the client has a card on file, you will see an option to charge it. If there are multiple cards stored, you can select from any one of them. On each card we show the last 4 digits of the card, so your client can be sure of which one they wish to use.

Phorest Desktop

Just like Phorest Go, you can also choose to pay with a stored card on the desktop. You can use the default card on file or choose from another if your client has more than one on file.
