To access your TreatCard settings, go to Marketing >TreatCard
Setting Your Points
On the Settings tab, set the number of points your clients will earn for each unit of currency they spend on services and products.
For example, with the settings below, if a client spends $100 on services and $50 on a product, they are rewarded 200 points (1 x 100 for services and 50 x 2 for products).
Clients do not accumulate points when they pay an appointment deposit online or in-house. The total points for the appointment are rewarded once the client has paid for their appointment.
Points are defaulted to 1 for every $1 spent on Services and 2 for every $1 spent on Products. Businesses typically set higher rewards for Product points to incentivize upselling.
If you only want clients to gain points for one and not the other, set the points to 0 for the one you don't want to offer points on.
Once you have set your points, clients will start accumulating points, provided you have assigned them a TreatCard number.
Setting Specific Points for Certain Services/Products
You can also award a specific number of points for individual services or products. Check out this guide to learn more.
Creating Your Treat Rewards
To create treat rewards, go to the Service Treats or Product Treats tab and click the Add Service Treat or Add Product Treat button.
Next, choose a service or product to add as a reward.
Enter the number of Points needed to redeem the reward; if you click the Use default button, Phorest automatically calculates the recommended amount of points (the calculation is x14 times the price of the reward).
Treat availability (matrix)
The "matrix" setting allows you to choose whether clients can redeem this treat based on their previous visit history.
Choosing First time only means the treat will only be redeemable by clients who have never had the service/product before.
Choose Anytime means clients can redeem the treat regardless of whether they've had it before or not.
We generally recommend setting First Time Only for the majority of your treat rewards. This means clients will receive the treat for free, which is likely to encourage them to purchase it in the future, in addition to the services/products they already regularly purchase.
You also have the option to disable the matrix setting for individual clients. This means that while most of your clients will follow the matrix setting, you have the flexibility to exempt specific clients and allow them to redeem any treats they want, regardless of their purchase history.
When you're ready, click Save to finish creating your treat reward.
