How do I set up pop up prompts for services?

This article will show you how to create custom staff prompts to appear for a selected service.

Creating a Prompt

Go to Manager > Services, then single-click on the name of the service you wish to add a prompt to.

Click Advanced > Add the prompts you need into the Prompts options > Click Save.

 Multiple Locations in Phorest?

If you have multiple locations/branches in Phorest, click the Branches tab followed by the name of the location/branch first, then go to Advanced.


  • Appointment Creation: This prompt will appear as soon as the service is selected during appointment creation.
  • Check-In: This prompt will appear as the appointment has been checked in.
  • Pay: This will prompt will appear after you click Pay on an appointment.

Once you've enabled your prompts and entered the appropriate prompt text, click Save to finish.

These prompts do not appear to your clients. They are intended for staff and are only visible from within the Phorest software.

Removing a Prompt

If you ever need to remove a prompt > Edit the service and delete the prompt message, then click Save.
