Making a Field Required
When creating or updating a Consultation Form or Treatment Plan, you can make fields mandatory by selecting Actions > Make Required.
If a field is marked as Required, it must be completed to submit the form. If any mandatory field is left blank, a warning message will appear, and all required fields will be highlighted in red to indicate missing information.
Required fields in Treatment Plans are only prompted when you save and complete a plan. They are not required when saving as a draft.
Changing a Required Field to Optional
If you previously set a field as required but want to make it optional, return to the form and select Actions > Make Optional.
Are There Fields that Can't Be Required/Mandatory?
Yes, it is not possible to make Medical Conditions or Marketing Details a required field. 'Medical Conditions' can’t be required as some clients may not have any conditions to select. ‘Marketing Details’ must remain optional to respect client preference and compliance rules.
