If you receive an unexpected call, email, text message, or chat claiming to be from Phorest, Stripe, or “PhorestPay”, treat it as suspicious until you can verify the request.
If you are unsure:
- Stop the conversation
- Don’t click any links, open attachments, or share any codes.
- If the message claims to be from Stripe, check our verified Stripe message types here: I received an email/text from Stripe - Is this legitimate and safe?
- Contact Phorest through an official support channel: contact Phorest Support.
Phorest will never ask for your Stripe password or login details, screenshots of your Stripe dashboard, your account balance/payout amounts “for verification”, or any one-time passcodes / MFA codes. If someone asks for any of these, end the interaction and contact Phorest Support.
How to check if a contact is genuine
Tell the person you’re going to verify first, then contact Phorest Support directly. Don’t share anything sensitive until you’ve confirmed the request is real.
Already shared information or made a payment?
If you shared login details, verification codes, or bank details, act immediately.
Change your passwords (starting with your email account), review recent activity for anything you don’t recognise, and contact Phorest Support with what happened and what you shared. If money was transferred or banking details were shared, contact your bank straight away.
