Starting a Stocktake
Open the sidebar menu in PhorestGo by swiping in from the left of the screen, then select stock.
Next, select Stocktake, then choose New stocktake to start a new one, or All stocktakes to view and resume a stocktake created earlier.
If you're starting a new count, enter a Stocktake name > Select a Stock/Inventory type option (optional) > Tap Select brands to continue.
Choose the Brands you want to count, and tap Start to begin.
Adding a Product
Use your camera to scan a product's barcode. Then, enter the number of that product you have counted, and tap Save & Add to add it to the inventory count.
Alternatively, you can use the magnifying glass 🔍 icon to add a product manually.
Reviewing Your Count
Once you've finished counting your products, tap the Review stocktake button.
To finish the inventory count, tap the Finish stocktake button. Tap the note 💬 icon to add notes to your inventory if needed. You can record issues such as faulty or damaged items.
Notes will appear in your Stock Reconciliation report, which can be generated on Phorest desktop by going to Manager > Stock Takes/Inventory Count > Stock Reconciliation button.
Uncounted items
Choose what to do about uncounted items: Do not include uncounted items in stocktake or Count them as zero.
Completing & Applying Your Stocktake
The final step in completing your inventory count is to apply it, which updates each counted product in your product list.
If you want to apply immediately, select Apply
Otherwise, select Save as draft if you're not ready to apply it yet. You can return to your draft later to update and/or apply it under All stocktakes.
Alternatively, if you prefer to use a computer to apply your stocktake, you can open Phorest on your computer and go to Manager > Inventory Count/Stocktakes. Select the inventory count > Click the Apply Inventory Count/Stocktake button.
