How do I deduct professional products used by my team?

This article shows how you can use Phorest to track the usage of professional/backbar inventory by stylists and therapists in appointments.

From the Appointments Screen

You can quickly record professional product usage by scanning a product while viewing the Appointments screen.

Scan the product, and a Deduct Summary menu will appear. Here, you can adjust the quantity of items you're deducting or scan additional products to include them in the deduction.

When you're ready, click Deduct, and the product(s) will be automatically deducted from your inventory and recorded as professional usage.

From the Purchase Screen

Go to the Purchase screen and click the Professional button.

Scan the product, and you'll receive a prompt asking if you would like to deduct the product from your inventory/stock. Select Yes, then enter the quantity you want to deduce from your inventory.

If you don't have a barcode scanner, you can click the Add another product button instead to manually search for and select a product from your inventory list. Then, click the Deduct button.

In PhorestGo

In PhorestGo, open the lefthand menu and select Purchase.

On the Purchase screen, select Deduct professional stock.

Point the camera at a barcode to scan, or click the magnifying glass icon to search your product inventory for the item to deduct.

Once you've found your item, type the number in the quantity field that you want to deduct and select Deduct.

Select Close on the Confirmation screen.

Reporting on Your Product Usage

You can use the Product Usage report or the Product Usage Details report to monitor the usage of professional products.
