How do I create an order of products to send to my supplier?

This article outlines how to create a product order within Phorest to reorder products

 First Steps!

Before you can create a product order, you need to create your suppliers and assign brands to them.

Creating an Order

Go to Manager > Stock Orders/Inventory Orders > Click the Create Order button.

Use the filters at the top of the screen to quickly find the products you wish to order.

To enter quantities (Qty) for a product you would like to order, hover over a stock order/inventory order and open it. Do not click the checkbox or the Supplier Ref field.

 Max Autofill

When you create a new order, you can use the Max Autofill button to order the maximum amount available of each product. This button is not available once the order is created.

For the Max Autofill button to work, the maximum quantities of the product need to be previously set. Go to Manager > Stock/Inventory > Open a product to edit it. In the Inventory and Pricing section, set the Maximum quantity, and click the Save changes button.

Items Being Multiplied Automatically

You may notice the quantity of items in your order automatically being multiplied. This happens when you have added a Reorder Count to a product.

A Reorder Count is the number of products per pack from your supplier. For example, if the supplier provides packs of 6, set the Reorder Count to 6. When ordering, Phorest will multiply the quantity by 6 and automatically update the order cost.

You can update the Reorder Count for a product by going to Manager > Stock/Inventory > Click a product to edit it.

Discounted Items in an Order

If some items in your order are priced at a discounted cost compared to the usual cost, you can update the cost price directly in the order by clicking on it.

This update will apply only to the specific items in this order. The general cost price of the item will remain unaffected.

Saving the Order

Once you have all of your quantities entered, click Save.

The order will then be added to the top of your list of orders.
