This article will show you how you can give client's points on their TreatCard whenever they refer another client to your business.
The TreatCard referral scheme has proved to increase client numbers in salons, through the bonus points for each new client they can recommend. The existing client also gets an auto "Thank You" text, which makes them more likely to do the same with other clients.

Step-by-Step Guide
Go to Marketing > TreatCard > Settings
- The TreatCard Points Awarded on referral is where you can set how many points your client receives (as shown in point 1. below). We recommend 100 bonus points as that's what has proved to offer the best result for Phorest clients.
- Then tick Enable Send SMS to Referring Client to activate to get this going.
- Then you can edit the text that your client will see on the SMS or leave it as the default settings as shown in point 3. below
When you're happy with your settings, click Save to finish.
How Does it Work?
When a client mentions that they were referred by another one of your clients, open the client's Client Card.
Under the Referred By field, select the name of the client who made the referral.
You will then be prompted to award that client with Treatcard points. If you have the TreatCard SMS enabled (under Marketing > TreatCard > Settings), an SMS will automatically be sent to this client after you click Yes on this prompt letting them know that they've received points for the referral.
