This guide shows how to create a payment type specifically for room charges.
If your salon or spa is part of a hotel, you may need to process some payments as room charges.
Creating the Payment Type
You need to set up a new payment type and name it "Room Charge". See how to create new payment types.
Processing a Room Charge
On the Purchase screen, make sure you (1) add the room number to the end of the client's last name and (2) click the Update button.
Click the Pay button and select Room Charge in the Payment methods pane.
Reporting on Room Charges
Produce a report every night of all the room charges for that day and give them to the Hotel Accounts Department or whoever is responsible for billing the rooms.
Go to Manager > Additional reports > Sales Transactions.
In the Payment Type drop-down list, select Other. Then, in the drop-down list that appears next to it, select Room Charge .
Note: You can schedule this report to run automatically every evening.
