How can I put items on hold to be added to a client’s appointment total at checkout?

This article explains how to save items to a client’s basket for a seamless addition to their appointment total when they’re ready to pay.

Whether you’re using Phorest on a computer or PhorestGo on your mobile device, you can easily add products, gift cards, and other items to a client’s basket. Any items added from PhorestGo will instantly appear in Phorest on a computer and vice versa, keeping everything in sync across devices.

Using Phorest on a Computer

Items can be added to a client's basket using Phorest on a computer in one of two ways:

Adding an Item Using an Existing Appointment

To add items to a client's basket, click on their appointment and then click Pay.

Next, add the items you wish to add to their basket.

Finally, click away from the sale by clicking back into the Appointments screen or any other screen. The items will be saved to the client's basket and will appear automatically when they go to pay for their appointment.

You can also add items to future appointments using this method.

Adding Items In the Purchase Screen

You can add items to a client's basket directly through the Purchase screen.

Start by entering the client's information and selecting them.

If the client has an appointment scheduled for today, the services for that appointment will automatically appear.

Add any items you wish to the basket, then click away from the sale by returning to Appointments or any other screen. The items will be saved in the client’s basket and will reappear the next time you access their details on the Purchase screen.


Using PhorestGo

To add an item to a client's basket using PhorestGo, open the sidebar menu the go to PurchaseNew purchase.

Right Arrow (Branded)

 

Search for and select the client, then click Add Item to add items to their basket. Once finished, click the X to close out of the sale.

The items will stay in the client’s basket and will automatically appear when you check out their appointment on either a computer or PhorestGo.

Adding an Item Using an Existing Appointment

You can also add items to a basket through an existing appointment in PhorestGo. However, you will need to check the appointment in before doing so.

To do this, tap on the appointment > Check-inCheckout > Select Add Item to begin adding an item.

When you're finished, tap X to exit the checkout screen, and the item(s) will remain saved to the appointment.

If the appointment is in the future and should not be checked in, remember to undo the check-in by selecting More optionsUndo Check-in.
