How can I enable a prompt for client notes, and make them more noticeable?

This guide will show you how to make a particular client's notes pop up and stand out more prominently.

Note: This feature is currently not available on Phorest Go.

Enabling Client Note Prompts

To have a specific client's notes appear in a pop-up prompt and stand out more in the appointment editor, open the client's profile, go to Basic information, and turn on one or both prompt settings.

Client notes are general notes that can be added for a client, whereas appointment notes are the Current appointment notes that appear in the appointment editor.


How it Works

Once enabled, the client's notes will appear in a pop-up when you create a new booking or open an existing appointment.

Client notes will appear first (if enabled), followed by appointment notes (if enabled). If there is no note to show, nothing will appear.

Each staff member sees a client's pop-up once a day — not every time you reopen the appointment to pay or reschedule. Book the same client for two different days, and you'll get a prompt for each. It follows whoever's logged in, so a colleague handling that client still gets the reminder.

Highlighted Notes

When enabled, a client's notes will also be highlighted in yellow for better visibility.
