How do I process a payment using multiple different payment types?

This article will show you how you can split the payment for an appointment or product across multiple different payment types.

Using a PhorestPay Card Terminal?

If you are using a PhorestPay Card Terminal and are looking to split a payment between two cards, click here to find out how.

To split a payment, use the calculator  mceclip0.png  button beside each payment type to enter the amount you would like to process for each payment type.

Once you've split the total payment due across your payment types and the Remaining balance is 0.00, click Pay to complete the sale.

If you are not using a PhorestPay Card Terminal to process your payments, and the client is using two of the same card types for payment (e.g., two Credit cards), you can process this as one payment type in your Phorest system and then as two separate payments on your credit card terminal.

Splitting Between a Gift Card and Another Payment Type

If your client wants to use an existing gift card for some of the payment and another payment method for the remainder, click Gift Card/Voucher > Enter the serial number and click Next > Enter the amount you would like to use from the gift card > OK.

The remaining balance will then be displayed, and you can then use the calculator  mceclip0.png  button to assign the remaining amount to a different payment type.
