What are Start Up and Shut Down Times?
Start Up time prevents certain services from being booked online until after the business has been open for a period of time each day. This can be used if you need to put in some preparation time in your rooms and/or equipment before you can provide particular treatments.
Shut Down time prevents certain services from being booked online for a set amount of time before the business closes and is typically used if you need to clean up at the end of the day after providing particular treatments.
Start Up and Shut Down times apply to the business's opening hours, not a staff member's scheduled working hours.
Start Up and Shut Down times apply only to online bookings and do not affect in-house appointments.
How Does it Work?
The business opening hours are indicated on your appointment calendar by a black line and a symbol:
- A sun ☀︎ symbol indicates the opening times.
- A moon ☾ symbol indicates the closing times.
In the image below, the business opening hours are 9 am to 7 pm.
In the example below, the 3/4 Leg Wax service takes 30 minutes to perform and has a 30-minute Start Up time and a 30-minute Shut Down time.
Online Booking
The earliest online appointment is at 9:30 am since the business opens at 9 am and needs 30 minutes to start. The latest slot is 6:00 pm, allowing for a 30-minute service plus a 30-minute shutdown before closing.
How do I set Start Up and Shut Down Times?
Go to Manager > Services > Click on a service name to edit it > Click Advanced.
Set your Start Up Time and/or Shut Down Time, then click Save to finish.
