How do I adjust gender preference settings in my Phorest system?

This guide will show you how to adjust your gender preference settings in Phorest to display different gender options, or to remove all gender options if preferred.

Gender preference settings are set at the business level. This means that if you have several locations in your Phorest system, any changes you make to these settings will apply to all of them.

Accessing Gender Settings

To access Gender Settings, go to Manager > Settings, then select Client Setup under the General tab.


Gender Neutrality Setting

To remove gender from your Phorest system entirely, enable the Gender Neutrality setting.

Once enabled, Phorest will completely remove gender options anywhere they are displayed in your Phorest system, such as on client profiles, as a filter option within your marketing campaigns, on Consultation Forms and Treatment Plans, etc.


Default Gender and Gender Options

The Default Gender Setting sets the gender for any new client profiles you create. This setting only affects profiles made after the change and won't impact any existing profiles.

Gender options allow you to choose which genders appear on a client's profile and anywhere else gender is shown in your Phorest system, such as marketing campaigns, Consultation Forms, and Treatment Plans.
