This article will show you how to set Phorest to lock automatically after a certain number of minutes.

Setting an Auto Logout Time
Go to Manager > Settings > Point of Sale.
Next, enter a number of minutes under the Auto Log Out After (Minutes) setting, then click Save to finish. Phorest will now automatically lock after being inactive for this amount of time.
Note: The lowest amount of time possible is 1 minute.
This setting will be applied to all computers. If you’d like to set different logout times for specific computers, please refer to the section further down in this article. If your Phorest account has multiple locations, you can set the Auto Logout Time for each location individually.
Once the inactivity time has passed, Phorest will automatically lock and require a staff PIN to be unlocked.
Setting Different Logout Times on Different Computers
If you want different computers to have unique logout times, use the Auto Logout Time Device Override setting to set a specific auto logout time for each device.
Locking Phorest Manually
You can also choose to lock Phorest manually whenever you want by clicking the lock button
Disabling Auto Logout
If you prefer not to have an automatic logout, set the Auto Logout Time to 0 minutes. You can do this for all computers by setting the default Auto Logout Time to 0 minutes, or you can set it for specific computers by setting the Auto Logout Time Device Override to 0 minutes on those computers.
