This article will give you a general overview of the different settings in your Phorest system.
Note: When changing any settings, it is always recommended to restart Phorest after making all of the changes you have made as some changes require a restart before they take effect.
To view the Settings section go to Manager > Settings
Here you will see the settings screen. The settings screen is made up of three sections, General, Online & Point Of Sale

General
The General Settings section is split into five categories: Contact Info, Opening Hours, Appointment Setup, Facilities & Financials.
Contact Info:
This section will allow you to view/update your Business Name, Business Address, VAT Number etc.
Opening Hours:
This section will allow you to edit the business Opening Hours and also allow you to create Special working Days.
Appointment Setup:
This section will allow you to edit appointment setup information including Patch Test Expiry Period, Preferred Staff and Course Information Display.
Note: If the Preferred Staff setting is disabled, you will need to assign preferred staff members manually in a client's Client Card, with the exception of Online Bookings.
The Preferred Staff member will automatically be set if a client chooses to book with a specific staff member when booking an appointment online. Once a preferred staff member is set it will never change again automatically and has to be updated manually.
Client Setup:
This section will allow you to edit client setup information including Client Credit Limits, Data Retention Period.
Facilities:
This section will allow you to add/edit Machines, Rooms & Departments.
Financials:
This section will allow you to add/edit Payment Types, Update Service/Product Tax & setup Discounts.
Online
The Online Settings section is split into two sections Setup & Appearance & Booking Rules.
Setup & Appearance:
This section holds a Direct Link to your Online Booking Platform. It will allow you to edit your Online Brand and Button Colors. This section also includes a graphic display of online booking colour changes.
Booking Rules:
This section will allow you to make multiple changes to your online booking platform including setting Booking Slot & Gap Times. It also allows you to set Cancellation and Patch Test Periods.
Point of Sale
The Point Of Sale section is split into three sections General, Prompts & Device
General:
This section will allow you to make multiple changes to the Payment Section including Voucher Expiry, Customize Receipts & Advanced Receipt Options.
Prompts:
This section will allow you to activate system prompts including No Show Visits & Client Rebooking.
Device:
This section will allow you to configure Hardware on your Phorest system including Receipt Printers, Cashdrawer & A4 Printers. This section also allows you to edit terminal settings including Appointment Granularity.
