This article will show you how you can connect your iPad or smartphone to your cash drawer/till or receipt printer.
This feature is currently not yet available on PhorestGo 2.0.
You can connect your Phorest Go app to one of your computers in order to remotely print a receipt and/or open your cash drawer.
The computer you connect to will have to remain connected to the cash drawer and/or receipt printer in order for this to work.
Updating Your Settings in Phorest Go
In Phorest Go, open the sidebar menu and go to Settings > Purchase and Receipts.
Under Terminal, select the name of the license key that is associated with the computer where your cash drawer and/or receipt printer are connected.
If you are using an Android device, you may only see Terminal on this screen and not the additional settings. These settings can be accessed on your computer under Manager > Settings > Point of Sale > Device.
If you're not sure what the name of the license key is, go to the computer where the cash drawer and/or receipt printer is connected, open Phorest, and you'll see the name under your Account number and above the date and time.
Opening the Cash Drawer
In order to ensure that the cash drawer opens when using Phorest Go, you will need to open Phorest on the computer where the cash drawer is connected and go to Manager > Settings > Point of Sale > Device > Enable the Can Open Remote Cash Drawer setting > Click Save to finish.
