How do I export an Aveda order to upload to Neill eOrder?

This guide will show you how to enable the Neill Ordering Integration in Phorest, export an inventory order as a Neill-ready CSV file, and upload it to the Neill eOrder platform.

   Feature in Testing

This feature is currently in testing but will be available very soon.

This guide is for businesses ordering Aveda products through Neill. If you order directly through the Aveda Portal, see Aveda Empowered Ordering.

What is the Neill Integration?

The Neill Ordering Integration is designed for Aveda salons in the Southern U.S. that are supplied by Neill. It helps you avoid placing orders manually by phone or email by letting you export the order from Phorest in the CSV format agreed with Neill, then upload it into Neill eOrder.

Before You Start

To use the integration smoothly, make sure your products have accurate barcodes, since Phorest matches products to Neill’s product list using barcodes during the CSV export.

You also need to have Neill set up as a Supplier in your Phorest system. The integration won’t work if Neill isn’t created as a Supplier.

Enabling the Integration

To get started, go to Manager > Integrations and select Neill.

Choose Enable Integration, then select the Neill supplier you want to link to the integration.

If you don't already have a Neill supplier set up in Phorest, you’ll need to create one first. Once the supplier is created, return to the Neill integration and reconnect it so the supplier link can be completed.

The integration is now enabled.

Exporting an Inventory Order in Neill CSV Format

Once the integration is enabled, go to Manager > Inventory Orders, and select the order you wish to export and upload to Neill's eOrder platform. Or, select Create Order if you haven't already created it.

Once in the Order, select Print/Export and you will see a new option to export as Neill CSV. Select this option to generate a CSV export in a format that is ready to instantly upload to Neill's eOrder platform.

Barcode Errors When Generating an Export

If you see an Export failed error when attempting to export the Neill CSV, this can be for two reasons:

  1. Some products in the order are missing a barcode
  2. A product in the order has an outdated barcode that cannot be found in the Neill eOrder platform.

To continue, you’ll need to either update the products that have a missing or incorrect barcode, or remove the products from the order.
