This article outlines how to swap/trade one item for another.
First, follow the instructions on our How do I process a product refund/return for a client? but do not follow the steps at the end of the article where you process the payment. Instead:
Once you have the first product added as a refund, click the Products button again to add another item for the exchange. Scan the product or click the Select button to search and add the product.
Once both items are added and you're ready to complete the exchange, click the Pay button. The remaining Total balance will automatically be calculated. If you owe the client money for the exchange, the Remaining value will be highlighted in Red.
If there is a remaining balance, select the Payment Method being used to process the transaction, then click Pay again to complete the transaction.
