What is a Click to Chat Link?
A click-to-chat link opens WhatsApp and starts a chat with your business number, without the client needing to save the number first.
Creating the Link
Use https://wa.me/YourWhatsAppNumber, where the YourWhatsAppNumber is your full WhatsApp number in international format. Do not include any zeroes, brackets, or dashes when adding the phone number in international format.

Tapping this button opens WhatsApp and starts a chat with your number, making it easy for clients to message you with just one tap.
Where Can I Find my WhatsApp Number?
You can find your WhatsApp number by going to Chat, clicking the question mark button, and then you'll see your number listed under Your WhatsApp number. You can select Copy to quickly copy it.

Adding a Link to Your Marketing Emails
Start by adding a Chat on WhatsApp image to the end of your marketing email.
Once you've added the image, choose Custom Link from the Link dropdown in the Image Settings side menu (if this menu disappears, just click the image again to bring it back).
Next, enter https://wa.me/YourWhatsAppNumber (replace with your actual WhatsApp number) as the Custom Link.
Adding a Link to your Appointment Notification Emails
Go to Manager > Client Notifications > Select the appointment notification you wish to edit, then select the Email Editor.
Next, select Custom Link, add your Link Text, then add https://wa.me/YourWhatsAppNumber (replace with your actual WhatsApp number).
You cannot add a 'Chat on WhatsApp' image to your appointment notification emails, and can only add a link.
Can I Add a Link to my Website?
It is not currently recommended to do this with a WhatsApp number linked to Phorest, as the Phorest integration only works for clients on your Phorest client list.
If someone who isn't in your Phorest client list tries to message you through your Phorest-integrated WhatsApp number, you won't receive their message.
