How do I set which services a staff member can be booked for?

This article will outline how to set which services/treatments a staff member is qualified to be booked for.

With Phorest, you can adjust staff qualifications for services by either editing the service itself or updating a staff member's profile.

Setting Qualifications from the Service

Go to ManagerServices > Click on a service to edit it > Staff.

From here, use the Qualified toggle to set whether a staff member can or can't be booked for this service.


Setting Qualifications from a Staff Profile

Go to Manager > Staff Members, and click the name of a Staff Member to open their staff profile.

Click the Services tab at the top of their profile to see the list of services currently assigned to this staff member.

From here, you can toggle the button beside each service to Yes or No to indicate whether it can be booked for that service.

If a service category is missing, click +Add Category to add it.

If a staff member performs the exact same services as another staff member, you can use the Copy From dropdown to quickly mirror another staff member's service settings.

When you're done, remember to click Save to finish.


Online Booking

If you want to prevent a staff member from being booked online for a service while still keeping them bookable internally by staff, set the service to No on the Services screen of their staff profile.

You will still be able to make a booking internally, but you will receive a pop-up to say, "This staff member is not qualified. Are you sure you want to continue?". Selecting Yes on that pop-up will allow the booking to continue.
