My receipt printer is already installed on my computer. How do I connect it to Phorest?

If You Have Downloaded the Phorest Desktop App

If you've downloaded Phorest from www.phorest.com/downloads and installed it on your computer, you are using the Desktop application.

To connect your receipt printer to Phorest, go to Manager > Settings > Point Of Sale > Receipts, then select your printer from the dropdown menu.

If you do not see your printer here, it is likely not installed on your computer. Please click here for guides on installing certain printer models.

Next, update your printer settings to your desired preference, then click Save to finish.

Your printer is now connected to Phorest and will print receipts successfully.


If You Are Using Phorest in a Browser

When you access Phorest through your web browser at my.phorest.com, your browser will ask you to select a printer every time you print a receipt.

This is the standard way web browsers handle printing, so it's not possible to set a specific printer in advance.
