How can I print to a receipt printer that’s connected to a different computer?

This guide will show you how to set up remote printing, allowing you to print receipts from one computer using a receipt printer connected to another computer.

Remote printing is only available when using the Phorest desktop application and is not possible when using Phorest from a web browser.

Connecting to a Receipt Printer Remotely

First, ensure that your receipt printer is installed, connected, and working correctly on the first computer.

Next, on the computer you wish to connect remotely, open Phorest and go to Manager > Settings > Point of Sale > Receipts.

Then, enable Remote Printing, and select the receipt printer using the Remote Printing Target dropdown menu.

Finally, set your receipt printing preferences by updating each of the settings, then click Save to finish.


Managing Your Connected Printing Devices

If you need to view, manage, or remove any of the receipt printers being displayed to you, you can do so by going to Manager > Business > Printing devices.
