This article shows how to sign out of the desktop version of Phorest and also how to shut down Phorest.
Each staff member should have their only individual pin code to log in when using Phorest desktop. This helps to restrict access permissions to certain areas of Phorest, and also helps to keep a trail of individual user activity in certain areas of Phorest.

Signing Out
Click the cross ✖️ button to sign out from Phorest.
Lock the Screen
After a staff member has finished using Phorest they can click the padlock 🔒 button to lock the screen.
If you cannot see the lock icon in the screenshot above, your computer screen resolution is likely too low, or if you're on a Mac computer, the dock is blocking it.

Automatic Logout
You can also set your Phorest system to automatically log out after the system has been idle for a specific amount of time. To find out more, check out this guide.
