How do I enable a staff Pin code requirement on an iPad?

This article will show you how to enable the Require iPad PIN feature, which will result in staff members having to enter their Pin code when using Phorest Go on an iPad.

   Apple iPads Only

This feature is for iPads only, and will not work on any other tablet or smartphone devices.

Go to Manager > Access & License Keys > Access PINs, then change the Require iPad PIN setting to Yes, and click Save to finish.

Next, sign in to Phorest Go on the iPad.

You can use your own staff login if you like, but we recommend creating a staff member called iPad, give it full access to Phorest Go, and set the login details you wish to use for the app in the Email and Password fields. It's best to give the iPad 'staff member' full access, as each individual's actual access will be determined by their pin code. To learn more about creating a new staff member, check out this guide.

After signing into Phorest Go on your iPad, you will now be prompted to enter their pin code (which can be set in their staff profile under Manager > Staff Members). Each staff member's access level on the app will then be determined by the Access Level that is set on their staff profile.

If you need to 'log out' of your profile when you're done using the iPad, single-press the power button on your iPad to lock the screen. Then next time someone unlocks the screen they will be prompted to enter their own pin code.
