Connecting Phorest with Shopify
Go to Manager > Integrations > Shopify > Connect Account
Next, create your Phorest Sync account.
Select the Phorest location you wish to sync your products from.
Enter your Shopify domain.
If you're not sure of your domain, visit your Shopify store and check the address bar in your browser.
Click Install to install the Phorest Sync app in your Shopify account.
Select the Shopify location to sync your products from.
Your Phorest and Shopify locations are now connected, and you can begin managing the sync between products in your Phorest system and Shopify account.
Managing the Sync Between Phorest & Shopify
Next, you’ll be directed to the Phorest Sync dashboard, where you’ll see a list of your retail products from Phorest along with their current status in Shopify. For products that are linked, any sales made through either your Phorest system or your Shopify store will automatically update the product quantity each time a sync occurs.
Products are automatically synced between your Phorest and Shopify accounts every 15 minutes. You can also manually sync at any time by pressing the Sync button.
If you need to return to this screen at any point, open Phorest and go to Manager > Integrations > Shopify > Connect Account. Alternatively, you can also visit phorestsync.com.
Products are matched between Phorest and Shopify using their barcode.
| Sync | This toggle switch enables or disables syncing for a product(s) between your Phorest system and Shopify store. |
| Product Name | Shows the product information from Phorest. |
| Shopify Status | Indicates whether a product has been successfully linked between Phorest and Shopify. A product will remain unlinked if the sync process cannot find a matching barcode in both systems. |
| Shopify Product | The name of the product in your Shopify store. Clicking the name will bring you to the product in your Shopify store. |
| Quantity | The number of products in stock in your Phorest inventory. |
| Barcode | The product barcode in Phorest. |
Not Seeing a Product Listed?
If you cannot find a product from your Phorest system in this list, edit the product in Phorest and check the product Type. Only Retail product types are available to sync.
Adding a Product to Shopify
If a product is listed in your Phorest system but not in your Shopify store, you can click the Add to Shopify button.
This will automatically carry the product information over from Phorest to Shopify and create a draft product for you to review and mark as active in Shopify.
